Her research in the field of urban anthropology focuses on the union of disciplinary theory and concrete action in the urban environment, through the development and organisation of artistic events, exhibitions, conferences, participative workshops, requalification and urban valorisation projects that include works of public art. She is also an adviser for European projects for the City of Rome and the “"La Sapienza" University’s Dipartimento Interateneo di Pianificazione Territoriale e Urbanistica.

Architect. Until 2000 she was the editor of Bruno Zevi’s essays and critical texts. Prior to 2006, she was professor at the “Faculdade de Arquitectura e Planeamento Fisico” in Maputo, Mozambique, in the field of disciplines related to the history of the city and landscape, in addition to coordinating the preliminary research for the preparation of a catalogue of modern architecture in Mozambique (1910-1975). Since 2000 she works as an adviser for international and European cooperative projects for the Dipartimento Interateneo di Pianificazione Territoriale e Urbanistica at the “La Sapienza” University in Rome.

Professore ordinario di Urbanistica alla “Sapienza Università di Roma”, è direttore del Dipartimento Interateneo di Pianificazione Territoriale e Urbanistica del medesimo ateneo ed è presidente del Corso di laurea specialistica in Architettura del paesaggio alla facoltà di Architettura“Ludovico Quaroni”. Specialista in tematiche della riqualificazione urbana e territoriale, ha fondato nel 2002 il Master di II livello in Pianificazione e gestione dei centri storici minori e dei sistemi paesistico-ambientali. Esperto di pianificazione nei Paesi in via di sviluppo, ha fondato e diretto la Facoltà di architettura e urbanistica dell’Università Eduardo Mondlane di Maputo (Moçambique).

OGINOKNAUSS is an independent research group dealing with audiovisual language, urban cultures and human environment’s transformations.

Ogino Knauss is a collective active since 1995. Born as “mutant cinema laboratory”, acts during the years as a constant drift through audio visual languages and communication practices. The group experiments with VJing techniques as a peculiar form of open narrative, in contrast to the dominant tendency to create video tapestries as an ornament to musician and DJ’s production. Developing its action at the crossing point between the exploration of etherotopic spaces and the exhibition of disclosing practices of the audiovisual device, Ogino knauss led a steady exploration of new spatial and creative contexts to confront, such as cultural centers, public spaces, temporary occupied zones, art galleries, festivals, dancefloors. Among many others ogi:no knauss collaborated or played live sessions with: Autechre, Autobam, Vladislav Delay, DJ Ultracore, Masami Akita & Zbigniew Karkowski, Otolab, OTK, Rich Medina, Terre Thaemlitz.
